Manchester · Twenty years in

Most businesses are leaving money somewhere. I find where, and I fix it.

Sometimes that’s marketing, sometimes the systems behind the scenes, sometimes just experienced hands for a while.

How I work

Judgement first. Then the work.

01

An honest read on what is actually wrong, which is often not what you think it is, or what you came to me for.

02

A plan for what to do, and in what order, so you are not paying for everything at once, or fixing the wrong thing first.

03

Then I do the work. I lead the strategy and build it myself. Now and then a job calls for another specialist alongside me, and I bring in someone I trust. Either way, you deal only with me, start to finish.

Why it all connects

Three kinds of problem. One job.

Not enough people know you, or choose you

Marketing and brand

The right people finding you, and a reason to choose you. Local visibility, social media, search, and a website that turns interest into enquiries.

It falls apart after the enquiry

Tools and systems

The tools, calculators and automations that stop good leads, and good hours, slipping away.

You need senior hands for a while

Fractional and interim

Stepping in to lead, steady things, and get a business moving again.

More money in. Less falling through the cracks.
Why I work this way

The thing worth doing is rarely the thing you came in asking for.

After twenty years I have watched good businesses spend money on the wrong thing. More marketing, when the real problem is that enquiries come in and nobody follows them up. A shiny new website, with no budget left to get anyone to it. And sometimes nothing is broken at all, and the win is just doing what already works a good deal better. So I do not lead with a list of services. I work out what is actually wrong, or what could be far better, and in what order.

In their words
Antony didn’t promise we’d be top of Google from day one. He explained the process and told us what should happen, when, how and why, in language we actually understood. What impressed us most was how well he understood our business. I don’t think he mentioned his services once in our first three meetings. He just asked questions and listened. Saying he is now an extension of our team sounds like a cliché, but it is genuinely true.

Antony is a delight to work with. He is able to build exceptional client relationships, while maintaining an excellent level of service and professionalism with his partners. He is resourceful, imaginative, driven and one of the most hard-working people I have had the pleasure to work with. Antony’s management of our account has seen our performance continue to excel over the past four years. His commitment to his clients is inspiring, and I very much see Antony and his team as an extension of our marketing team, which is a rare quality to find.

Honestly

I am not for everyone.

I take on a few things at a time, so I am better suited to established businesses than to anyone chasing the cheapest possible option. What you pay for is the judgement about what to do, not just the doing of it. And if what you need is not something I should be the one to do, I will say so, and point you to someone better placed.

Start with a conversation

Tell me what is going on. I will tell you what I see.

No pitch at the end of it. If I am not the right person, you will leave knowing who is.
